DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

DESIGN
ATELIER KROSA
Driven by the number of domestic violence, the victims of which have been and continue to be mainly women. Nothing in the design of the dress is unintentional, every detail is a metaphorical expression. Buttons indicate the number of cases of domestic abuse and violence in Kosovo. The fabric of the dress, which is not filled with buttons, signifies the space we give to perpetrators by not speaking out publicly against domestic violence. The weight created by the buttons makes the dress weigh several kilograms, as a metaphor for the weight/burden that victims of domestic violence must carry in their daily lives. It won’t take long, then the dress will fill with buttons if we continue to ignore the calls.
