The assignment was the design of a family house for elderly married couple who wants to move to their daughter into the village to be closer with each other. The main request from the couple was adjustment of their living to their age and hobbies. Their experience from the current multi-story house, which is difficult for communication by stairs, led into the solution of make the ground floor as the separate flat. They spend the most of their free and working time at home. That’s why the heart of the house is airy living space oriented into the garden. Very important part of the living in a family house is garden which serves as “summer living room “. This is the reason why the part of the terrace is covered by the separate matter to facilitate a comfortable stay outside. The main living space is oriented onto northeast. The purpose is to gain southeast and west sunshine through the glazing in the kitchen and dining area on the opposite side. Double garage and technical background of the house is stated on the ground floor towards the street. By gradual cooperation we agreed that we state here also a private bathroom and separate dressing room of a bedroom which oriented into northwest. The main entrance is embedded to the center of the layout. The second floor is partial, also oriented into the calm garden and its main concept is a space dedicated for hobbies. The second floor also includes a guest room, a separate room, a shared bathroom, and separate toilet. It is a detached house located on a flat land which is elongated. The composition of the house consists of the main matter formed by ground floor supplemented by partial second floor. The second floor recedes from all sides, thus emphasizing the horizontality of predominant ground floor. The house facade will be performed in the combination of white plaster partially supplemented by the cladding of natural materials in the horizontal direction of laying.
